- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 medium apples (peeled and diced)

- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients with buttermilk until just combined.
