Ingredients
- 1 package pre-made croissant dough (8 croissants)
- 2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup almond paste
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Prepare the apple filling by cooking diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until tender.
- In a mixing bowl, knead almond paste until soft and creamy.
- Unroll the croissant dough and spread almond cream on each triangle. Add a spoonful of apple filling and roll from the wide end into crescent shapes.
