  • 6 Tablespoons light brown sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 Tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • Dash of salt (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with foil and spray it with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; blend until smooth.
  4. Stir in the mashed banana until fully incorporated.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until just combined; pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set in the center. Let cool completely before frosting.
  7. For frosting: Melt butter and cook until amber in color, then mix in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil before removing from heat; whisk in vanilla and powdered sugar once cooled slightly.
