Ingredients
- 1 box devil's food cake mix
- 2 cups peanut butter (for filling)
- 1 cup chopped nut-based candies
- 1 cup peanut butter (for frosting)
- 10 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9"x13" pan with parchment paper and grease.
- Prepare the cake batter as per the package instructions and pour it into the prepared pan. Bake for about 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Poke holes all over the cooled cake using the back of a wooden spoon. Pour melted peanut butter over the surface to fill the holes.
- In a bowl, cream together peanut butter and softened butter with an electric mixer until combined. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fluffy; beat in heavy cream if needed.
