  • 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl, then mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Layer half of the banana batter in the prepared pan; sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar and spread half of the cream cheese filling.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter and fillings; gently swirl.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  9. Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
