Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cheese tortellini
  • 1 1/2 pounds steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small shallot, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steak until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt remaining butter. Sauté minced shallot for 2 minutes, then add minced garlic for another 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in flour, then gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Add cream cheese, cheddar, Parmesan, and mozzarella to the sauce. Stir until melted.
  6. Return cooked steak and tortellini to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Simmer until heated through and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
