- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then dredge in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms along with Italian seasoning. Cook until mushrooms are browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add minced garlic; cook for one minute until fragrant. Pour in white apple vinegar and let bubble for 2-3 minutes until reduced by half.
- Stir in heavy cream; return the chicken to the pan and simmer for another 5 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
