  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to 105°F to 110°F and combine with yeast in a mixing bowl; let it froth for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour until dough forms; knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with cloth until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare filling by mixing strawberries with strawberry preserves.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread the strawberry filling evenly.
  7. Roll up tightly and cut into approximately 12 pieces; place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. While baking, mix frosting ingredients until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
