Description

Homemade Strawberry Iced Tea is a refreshing and vibrant drink that captures the essence of summer in every sip. This delightful beverage blends sweet, juicy strawberries with freshly brewed tea, creating a perfect balance of flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tea bags (family size or 8 regular)
  • 8 cups water (divided)
  • Ice for serving
  • Optional: sliced lemon and strawberries for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry syrup by boiling quartered strawberries with 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes until soft. Strain and mix in sugar while warm; return to heat for another minute if needed.
  2. Brew tea by pouring boiling water over tea bags in a heat-proof container; steep for 5 minutes. Combine brewed tea with remaining cold water in a pitcher.
  3. Once cooled, mix the strawberry syrup into the brewed tea until well combined.
  4. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh fruit or herbs if desired.
