Ingredients

  • 6 chicken quarters
  • ½ apple
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 inches ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 stalks green onion
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sweetener (sugar)
  • 1 tsp pepper


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sweetener, and pepper.
  2. Grate ginger and garlic; add to the marinade along with chopped green onions.
  3. Coat chicken quarters in the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes (or up to overnight).
  4. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange marinated chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for approximately 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), flipping halfway through.
  6. Let rest before serving; optional garnish with sesame seeds.
