Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp butter (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 11×7 baking pan with foil or cooking spray.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  3. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture and fold in chopped apples until evenly mixed.
  4. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While baking, melt butter with brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Once baked, drizzle this over warm blondies.
  6. Prepare the glaze by mixing melted butter with maple syrup and powdered sugar; drizzle over cooled blondies before slicing.
