- ½ cup Caster Sugar (for coating)
- 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the cinnamon sugar by mixing caster sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and butter. Gradually add hot water until moistened.
- Knead the dough until smooth (about 5 minutes) and roll into small balls.
- Heat refined oil over medium-low heat and fry the mochi balls until golden brown (3 to 5 minutes). Use a slotted spoon to drain excess oil.
- Roll warm doughnuts in cinnamon sugar before serving.
