  • 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ½ cup Hot Water (as needed)
  • Refined Oil (for frying)
  • ½ cup Caster Sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for coating)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the cinnamon sugar by mixing caster sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and butter. Gradually add hot water until moistened.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth (about 5 minutes) and roll into small balls.
  4. Heat refined oil over medium-low heat and fry the mochi balls until golden brown (3 to 5 minutes). Use a slotted spoon to drain excess oil.
  5. Roll warm doughnuts in cinnamon sugar before serving.
