  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1-1 1/2 tsp red gel food coloring
  • 3/4 cup chopped white chocolate or white chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in egg yolks, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped white chocolate or chips gently.
  7. Scoop dough into about 18 balls and place them on prepared sheets with spacing.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes; let cool on the sheet for five minutes before transferring to a rack.
