Ingredients
- 350 g flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 250 g cold butter (cubed)
- 100 g full-fat sour cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 vial vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ packet dry yeast (3–4 g)
- Turkish delight or jam mixed with nuts (to taste)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together egg, sugar, yeast, and vanilla until combined.
- Add cold sour cream to the mixture and stir until blended.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt; then rub in cold cubed butter until crumbly.
- Combine the sour cream mixture with the flour-butter blend to form a smooth dough ball.
- Divide the dough into three portions, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Roll each portion into a circle, cut into triangles, fill with Turkish delight or jam, and roll into crescents.
- Bake at 180–200°C (356–392°F) for about 12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Dust cooled cookies generously with powdered sugar before serving.
