  • 115 g unsalted butter (melted)
  • 100 g light-tasting oil
  • 300 g granulated sugar (combined)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 330 g milk
  • 250 g cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 g strawberries (finely diced)
  • 7 strawberries (halved for decoration)


Instructions

  1. Prepare strawberry jam by cooking strawberries, sugar, and water until thickened; let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease round baking pans.
  3. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix melted butter, oil, sugars, eggs, and milk until smooth.
  5. Combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients gently; pour batter into prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool in pans before transferring to racks.
