- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)
- 2 cups prepared mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: chopped green onions or chives
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and half the ketchup. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and spread the remaining ketchup on top. Bake for 20–25 minutes.
