- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup chicken broth

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Soften the cream cheese by microwaving it until very soft.
- Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and olive oil. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F). Transfer to a plate.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions until softened and browned (about 5-7 minutes). Add minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth along with softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet, heating through while mixing well with the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
