  • 30 Oreo cookies (for the crust)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 24 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 12-15 Oreo cookies (chopped)
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate (for the ganache)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • additional whipped cream (for decorating)
  • 4-5 Oreos (chopped or crushed, for decorating)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (170°C) and prepare your springform pan by wrapping it in aluminum foil.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies and mix with melted butter to form the crust; press into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth; add sugar, cornstarch, sour cream, vanilla, and eggs one at a time.
  4. Stir in chopped Oreos and pour filling over the crust.
  5. Bake for about 50-60 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly; cool gradually.
  6. For the ganache, heat whipping cream until steaming; pour over chopped chocolate until melted; stir until smooth.
  7. Drizzle ganache over cooled cheesecake before serving.
