  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 package instant dry yeast (8 grams or 2 ¼ tsp)
  • ⅓ cup ube halaya jam
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Heavy cream (for topping)
  • Frosting ingredients: cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, confectioner’s sugar


Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and mix it with yeast in a stand mixer bowl; let it sit.
  2. Add egg, butter, and sugar; mix until well combined.
  3. Incorporate salt and flour; knead with a dough hook until slightly sticky.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (about 30 minutes).
  5. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ube halaya jam.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log; cut into nine rolls.
  8. Arrange rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Pour heavy cream over the rolls before baking at 350°F for approximately 21-23 minutes.
  10. Make frosting and spread it over slightly cooled rolls.
