  • 1 1/8 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • sea salt, optional


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a mixer bowl, cream cold butter with sugars until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until fully incorporated. Fold in chopped chocolate and walnuts.
  5. Scoop dough by large portions onto prepared sheets without smoothing out completely.
  6. Bake for 12-13 minutes until edges are golden brown; let cool before transferring.
